Pina's Before & AfterPina was bullied about her weight in high school, and despite pretending like it didn’t faze her, those thoughts weighed on her for years. When she moved away for college, she felt homesick and upset and turned to junk food.

She decided to move back home, but that didn’t help the negativity she felt when she looked in the mirror or when it was time to dress for summer. Her mom was already using the Isagenix products, but when she suggested Pina try them, Pina felt hurt.

“I knew I really needed to make a change,” said Pina. “But, as we say, our minds are in control and have to be ready for change. Mine simply was not.”

Almost a year later, a friend of Pina’s convinced her to join her for a fitness class. Pina almost said no, dreading walking into the gym. What if she saw someone from high school? What would they say about her now?

We had a few questions for Pina about her incredible success with the IsaBody Challenge®, and here’s what she had to say about her experience.

I: In your experience, what makes every IsaBody Challenge different from the last?

P: For me, every Challenge becomes a new obsession. I set new goals each time and have fresh determination to reach them. It’s so important to stay consistent, stay strong, and follow the system throughout the entire 16 weeks, because that will set you up for success in the next 16.

I: What does a week of workouts look like for you?

P: Most people would be surprised that I used to hate working out, because I now work out six times a week. My favorite form of exercise is lifting and strength training, which I do four days a week, mixed in with two days of a HIIT cardio workout and one day of kickboxing.

I: Do you have a morning routine you follow that sets you up for success for the day ahead?

J: Yes, every morning I wake up and make my bed first thing, because my mom always taught me that when you complete your first task of the day that early, it’s the start of a productive day. Once that’s done, I go make an IsaLean Shake for breakfast (with some Ionix® Supreme, of course!), and it’s the perfect start to my day.

I: What is your best tip for making living a healthy lifestyle easier?

P: Make sure you don’t skip any of your meals or snacks, and drink plenty of water! This will help you stay on track.

I: What do you love most about being involved in the IsaBody community?

P: When I was a teenager, I acted like I didn’t want to go to the beach or to the pool because I was afraid to let anyone see my body, let alone be in a bathing suit. I hid myself in hoodies and baggy clothing because that’s all I felt comfortable in. Isagenix has given me the confidence and energy I needed to take my life back. In the IsaBody™ community, everyone is so welcoming and supportive like a family, which is extremely important in this journey.
